Ayurveda aims to bring balance during the present season and current stage of your life. When we tune in to the rhythms of nature we shift our routines to reflect the changing seasons. An Ayurvedic wellness assessment will introduce you to basic principles as they relate to food, lifestyle, and the seasons.


Ayurveda views each individual as a unique combination of the five elements: earth, air, fire, water, and space. These elements combine into three constitutions or doshas: vata, pitta, and kapha. The combination of the three doshas in each individual has a specific influence on our physical, mental, and emotional tendencies. Determining which doshas are dominant can help us make the right diet and lifestyle choices that will maintain our overall health.

 
 
 

Assessments begin with an in-depth conversation about your health and lifestyle history to assess your constitution - prakriti (true nature) and vikriti (current state).  We’ll discuss imbalances that show up and explore ways to avoid further illness. We’ll then review practices that align you with the current season and bring the body and mind into balance. I’ll put together a wellness plan based on what we discuss that includes:

  • a dinacharya, or daily routine, to align you with nature’s rhythms each day,

  • seasonal plant-based recipes and shopping guides,

  • gentle cleansing techniques,

  • exercise and movement practices,
